1. Information We Collect

When you use Kind, we collect:

  • Account information: email address, name, and profile data from your GitHub account
  • Repository data: repository names, pull request metadata, and code diffs necessary to run tests
  • Integration tokens: encrypted OAuth tokens for GitHub, Slack, Vercel, and other connected services
  • Usage data: test run history, timestamps, and aggregated performance metrics

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the testing service
  • To post test results as pull request comments
  • To send notifications through connected services like Slack
  • To improve the quality and reliability of our service
  • To communicate with you about your account

3. Code and Repository Data

We clone your repository into an ephemeral sandbox to run tests. The sandbox is destroyed after each test run. We do not persistently store your source code. Test results, screenshots, and summaries may be retained for your review.

4. Data Security

All sensitive data including OAuth tokens, API keys, and repository secrets are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Access to production systems is restricted and audited.

5. Data Retention

Test run results are retained for the duration of your subscription. Upon account deletion, we remove all associated data within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and export your data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Revoke integration access at any time
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
